Lessons Learned from Ferguson: Police and Community Relations
February 11 at 6 p.m.

Waterbury Chief of Police Vernon L. Riddick will discuss social realities of the aftermath of recent events in Ferguson, Missouri, and New York, New York, and the national discussion sparked regarding how police and community relations should be approached and maintained, particularly with minority populations. Chief Riddick will outline lessons learned from these events and explore best practices on how law enforcement agencies could establish positive and collaborative relationships with their communities. An interactive discussion will follow Chief Riddick’s remarks.
