Pursue Your Online Master of Education Degree to Explore Advanced Teaching Skills!

If you believe student learning success depends on innovative and creative educators who can transform educational programs and build effective learning environments, Post University’s 100% online program for a Master of Education (MEd) degree could be for you. Designed to help nurture your teaching and educational leadership skills, this online master’s in education program is grounded in the identification, evaluation, and application of research-based education practices.

Coursework offers an analysis of the issues and changes affecting both education and technology. Courses also explore what it takes to apply principles of cognitive science; use metrics to measure student, programmatic, and institutional achievement; and identify and use relevant technology in the service of better educational experiences for learners in public or private K-12 schools, special education, higher education, corporate training, and more.

What Could I Do With an Online Master of Education Degree?

Once you have completed your online master’s in education program, you will have had the opportunity to learn different theories of instruction, learning, and curriculum and how to apply them in relevant educational contexts. Coursework also explores what it takes to integrate technology in your teaching practices and establish inclusive, collaborative, and supportive learning communities.

The Master of Education degree is not designed to fulfill the educational requirements for any educational credential, such as a state teacher’s license or TESOL certification.

Post University assists in researching and providing information regarding licensure; however, each state has different requirements for such licensure outside of the required education. Such state requirements may include licensure exams, background checks, certain work experience, and more. It is ultimately the responsibility of each student to manage their own licensure process and to ensure that all requirements are met in order for the student to obtain licensure. Post University does not speak on behalf of any licensing board or body and does not guarantee licensure.

Requirements for licensure are subject to change without notice. Learn about teaching certification requirements through the state departments of education: https://www2.ed.gov/about/contacts/state/index.html.
