Teaching Background

Professor Taddei is currently an Associate Professor of Accounting at Post University.  She previously served as an adjunct instructor at Housatonic Community College, Sacred Heart University, and Albertus Magnus College.   

Professional Background

Professor Taddei is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and has been a member of the accounting profession for 30 years.  Before transitioning to education, the majority of her professional career was spent with the Corporate Office of United Technologies Corporation in Hartford, CT as Manager, International Tax Compliance.  In this capacity, she managed all aspects of the U.S. income tax compliance requirements with respect to the international tax implications of this Fortune 100 multinational corporation.  During her time at UTC, Professor Taddei received two UTC Distinguished Performance Awards and was appointed to UTC’s Diversity Council.

Professor Taddei started her professional career in public accounting with Blum, Shapiro & Company in West Hartford, CT where she began her career specialization in tax and completed all requirements to obtain licensure as a Certified Public Accountant. 

Professor Taddei serves on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA), and was that organization’s President for 2012 – 2013.  In addition, she served from 2008 ~ 2010 as the Educator’s representative to the Advisory Council.  She is currently a member of the Educator’s Interest Group, and served as Chairperson from 2008 ~ 2010.  In 2015, Professor Taddei was the recipient of the CTCPA “Educator of Excellence” Award. 

Teaching Philosophy

Education is a collaboration between teacher, student and fellow student. When these individuals challenge themselves and each other, both within and outside of the classroom, an optimal educational experience is achieved.
