Psychology Minor

Investigate the Mind

Why do we behave the way we do? What motivates us? What makes us happy? If you’ve asked yourself difficult questions such as these, enroll in the psychology minor program from Post University to search for the answers, as you add valuable knowledge and skills to your major program. Because psychology focuses on human behavior, this minor is ideal for preparing students for careers in the helping professions, such as counseling, social work or other related areas of public service.

Program Highlights
Our psychology minor explores the fundamental principles of psychology, but also allows for in-depth study of selected topics in upper level courses, such as personality psychology, abnormal psychology, child psychology, and/or forensic psychology. For a total of 15 credit hours, your psychology classes include:

  • Fundamentals of Psychology I
  • Fundamentals of Psychology II
  • One elective at the 200 level
  • One elective at the 300 level
  • One elective at the 300–400 level

Our faculty of professionals bring years of experience in the psychology field into the classroom, giving you the edge of practical and applicable learning.

Additionally, you will be guided by a dedicated academic advisor from the moment you enroll. At Post University, we understand our students may face obstacles as they work toward their degrees and careers, and we are committed to doing everything we can to address and alleviate any challenges. We offer classes at our Connecticut campus or online to provide flexibility no matter which type of psychology schools you choose to attend.

Develop a better understanding of the human mind and add relevant training to your degree. If you’re interested in adding a psychology minor to your degree, consider our B.S. in Legal Studies, Human Services, Child Studies, or Management programs.
