You’re an avid sports fan. You know all of your favorite player’s stats by heart. Now put that passion to good use in a sport management career by adding a sport management minor to your business or management degree from Post University. Our graduates have been recruited for sports management jobs in athletic administration, sport marketing, ticket sales, game-day operations and community relations for a variety of professional sport organizations, amateur sport organizations and collegiate athletic conferences. There’s a team waiting for you, too.

Perfect for business and management majors, this sport management program is also a great option for students of other majors here at Post University. From communication to human resources, combine a Sport Management Minor with just about any major for a winning career future.

Program Highlights

Like any sport, you will begin your studies with the foundations and then build your knowledge in specific areas. You’ll take foundational sport management courses in marketing and management, as well as a sport management internship, as part of your 15-credit-hour sport management minor. From there you’ll customize your Sport Management Minor to complement your major—as well as your overall professional aspirations—with your choice of relevant electives in sport economics, athletic administration, event and facility management, or the relationship of sport in society.

Unlike many sports’ management programs, ours is housed in our School of Business and led by field-experienced faculty to provide you with the professional skills you’ll need to pursue lifelong career success. In addition to your career-focused curriculum, you will also complete a sport management internship where you’ll find opportunities to apply classroom learnings to real-world situations.
