Bachelor of Science in Biology

Post University’s Bachelor of Science in Biology provides a strong, broad-based, integrated foundation in the biological sciences from which students can continue toward their personal and career goals.  Our faculty foster critical thinking skills and an active engagement in the study of the biological sciences.  Students develop an understanding and appreciation of the principles governing life through laboratory-intensive curriculum taught by faculty members dedicated to learning enrichment through experiment.

The biology program prepares students for a variety of careers in the biological sciences and health care fields. 

Students who successfully complete the Biology program will have significant exposure to Principles and Methods of Science, Ecology, Anatomy, Physiology, Zoology, Botany, Cell Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Evolutionary Biology, Chemistry and Physics. They will also gain additional specialized experience by participation in a required independent study/internship that probes more deeply a specific area of Biology. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will have the knowledge and skills to be employed in entry-level positions in business and industry or in the public sector. Students also will have the background needed to pursue advanced professional career preparation and graduate study.
