Data Operations Specialist

Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of Data Operations Specialist


The Post University Data Operations Specialist is responsible for originating and disbursing Title IV funds in compliance with federal regulations.   The specialist will originate, transmit and receive federal grant and loan files, work with staff to correct any rejected records and disburse funds to eligible students.   In addition, this position reviews and posts scholarships, discounts and institutional aid awarded to students.  This position works closely with the Financial Aid Advisors and the Compliance team to provide services for both ADP and Main Campus students.  Attention to detail and sense of urgency is required. 


  • Review student eligibility to disburse grants, loans and scholarships

  • Generate and transmit grant and loan records for origination and disbursement

  • Resolve rejected records

  • Ensure prompt follow up and resolution of loan conflicts via Powerfaids and/or COD approvals, disbursements, rejects or pending problems

  • Sends loan disbursement notifications to student borrowers

  • Return funding when required due to changes in enrollment, SAP status, Return to Title IV Funds calculations or other exceptions

  • Perform functions within the designated timeframes

  • Performs functions in compliance with federal regulations

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; however an equivalent combination of education, experience or training can be substituted for the bachelor’s degree

  • Previous experience in a higher education position such as admissions or student finance preferred

  • Ability to adapt quickly to internal and external changes in policy and regulations

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all staff

  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement assigned responsibilities and to work well under pressure to meet established deadlines

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a high volume environment

  • Ability to work in a team oriented, objective focused environment

  • Must have excellent PC skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet applications and database software.

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and private student information

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
