Bachelor of Science in Marketing

The Marketing program prepares students for careers in marketing for which the essential ingredient is the ability to identify and satisfy consumer needs. Students become familiar with the specialized skills of selling, advertising, retailing, and market research. Courses provide an understanding of current marketing theory and practices with special attention to the marketing mix of product, place, promotion, and price.

The Marketing program also prepares students for positions in product planning, marketing research, distribution, advertising, sales promotion, packaging, customer relations, and direct marketing. Many of our graduates begin their careers in sales or management at the retail level or as outside sales representatives.  We encourage all students to participate in a cooperative work experience during their sophomore and junior year summers.
