Ruffalo Noel Levitz Surveys of Student Satisfaction
Priorities Survey for Online Learning (PSOL) and Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI) 2018
The Ruffalo Noel Levitz surveys, Priorities Survey for Online Learning (PSOL) and Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI), enables Post University to examine the satisfaction of students across both online (PSOL) and main campus (SSI). Using this information, the University can address issues that are important to students in various areas.
Results obtained through both surveys have provided indication that, in many areas, students have a higher satisfaction with their Post University experience compared to students at benchmarked institutions.
Institutional Summary
Three important institutional metrics were captured in both the PSOL and SSI surveys:
- So far, how has your college experience met your expectations?
- Rate your overall satisfaction with your experience here thus far.
- All in all, if you had to do it over, would you enroll here again?
In addition to these summary metrics, Post University satisfaction exceeds the national averages, but is not limited to, the following survey items:
PSOL | SSI |
|
|
The following sample charts show the degree to which Post University’s students compare to the national average of learners responding to the survey.
It is important to note that, in general, the items noted above are in the “higher satisfaction” category and are also frequently noted as being of “high importance” by students. This suggests that Post University continues to focus on areas that students expect and the appropriate resources, such as, people, processes, and procedures are in place to serve students well.
Institutional Strengths
Both Ruffalo Noel Levitz reports (PSOL and SSI) publish attributes considered to be institutional strengths. These attributes fall above the median scores on importance and in the top quartile for satisfaction.

Institutional Challenges
As with institutional strengths, both Ruffalo Noel Levitz reports (PSOL and SSI) publish attributes considered to be institutional challenges. These following attributes fall below the median scores on importance and in the bottom quartile for satisfaction.

As a part of continuous improvement efforts Post University has put measures in place to address each of these challenges. To address student’s faculty concerns an updated faculty evaluation processes was put I place to encourage instructional quality. To address institutional response concerns additional communication avenues have been enhanced. For example, strong presence and communication have been added to the Post University Online Student Lounge group on Facebook. Next steps will be to monitor these challenges in upcoming survey results to ensure that improvement strategies are influencing student concerns.
