Student Requirement

  • A 3.2 GPA is required
    Note: If your GPA is below 3.2 and you would like to inquire about going, certain exceptions will be reviewed by the selection committee.
  • Available to Junior, Senior, or Master’s students

Short Essay and Application
Please write a 1-2 page essay explaining why you believe you should be a part of this experience then complete and submit the application form along with the essay. Note: December 15, 2019 is the final date to submit your application and essay for this study abroad opportunity.


How much is the tuition and are there additional costs?


Is there additional cost?
Yes, you will need to pay for your flights there and back as well as room and board. The room and board is anticipated to be no more than $1,500 for the 3 weeks.

Can I use  financial Aid?
Yes, if you have financial aid award available.

How much work will I be engaged in during this program?

This is an immersive three week entrepreneurial program. Typically, students are working late into the night on their start-up ideas. Click this link to see the full itinerary:

When should I book and do I book my own lodging and flights?

When should I book my flights?
Once you are selected to join us, we will be providing additional information on booking flights, roommates, preparation for the trip and more. The flights will need to be booked by the end of February 2020 to be fully accepted to the program.

Do I book my own flight?
Yes, you will book your own flight. If you need help booking a flight you can call Kate at 1.800.808.3801. Kate is a travel agent who can help you with this for a small fee.

Do I have to book my own Lodging?
We will be booking the lodging in the dorms in Portugal and providing you with the appropriate information upon acceptance to the course.

What’s the exchange rate for dollars?

Currently, €1 Euro is equal to $1.10 USD
