Coursework for our homeland security and emergency management degree focuses on the four phases of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. What Could I Do with a Bachelor’s in Homeland Security and Emergency Management?

Classes for your bachelor’s program cover how to assess risk and vulnerabilities related to natural and human-caused events as well as how to develop and evaluate plans to prepare for those events. They also offer insight on how to identify critical factors in communication, collaboration, and cooperation among stakeholders, the media, and others. Coursework offers the chance to transform classroom learnings into practical experience through mock disaster scenarios. The Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management and Homeland Security is designed to provide the learning experiences you could use to prepare to begin or advance your prospects in local, state, and federal law enforcement or the fire service.

This concentration investigates ways to combat cybersecurity challenges. It provides learning experiences designed to help you identify and distinguish risks and threats to cybersecurity, cyberspace, and information systems while providing strategies to mitigate them.

Policing

Ready to pursue an understanding of the fundamental principles of law enforcement? This concentration offers the insights needed to evaluate and differentiate between various functions during the performance of duties as a law enforcement professional.
