Global warming, sustainability, and environmental management are common terms in today’s society. With an environmental science minor from Post University, you can understand and be able to apply these concepts to lead the world to more responsible practices. With this minor, you can pursue a career as a park ranger, lab technician or environmental activist, or add relevant skills to your biology or other related degree program.

Each environmental science class in our minor program provides a firm foundation of the essential concepts of the field but also applies these concepts so you can understand and address today’s environmental concerns. For a total of 16 credit hours, your courses include:

  • Environmental Science: A Global Concern
  • Environmental Science: A Global Concern Lab
  • Ecological Field Methods
  • Strategies for Sustainable Development
  • Two electives at the 200–400 level

Unlike other environmental science colleges, Post University takes a comprehensive approach to education. Our courses emphasize hands-on experience in addition to lectures, and our faculty brings real-world expertise into both our Connecticut-based and online classrooms. This, combined with one-on-one academic advising, helps better prepare you to enter the field upon graduation.
