Human Services Minor

Our program was designed to provide you with the opportunity to bridge human service knowledge and skills with your current major and help prepare you for a career as a case worker, community outreach specialist, counselor assistant and more.
The human services minor exposes you to basic human services principles, interviewing techniques and counseling theories. Your required human services classes include introduction to human services, intervention methods and social welfare policy, and you will choose any two of the following electives for a total of 15 credit hours:
- Interviewing Methods
- Theories of Counseling
- Group Counseling
- Human Services Administration
- Human Services Practicum I
Each course is taught by our expert faculty, who have years of professional experience in the field to pass on to you, and help you grow in your studies.
