Sport Management Minor
Take Your Game to the Next Level
You’re an avid sports fan. You know all of your favorite player’s stats by heart. Now put that passion to good use in a sport management career by adding a sport management minor to your business or management degree from Post University. Our graduates have been recruited for sports management jobs in athletic administration, sport marketing, ticket sales, game-day operations and community relations for a variety of professional sport organizations, amateur sport organizations and collegiate athletic conferences. There’s a team waiting for you, too.
Like any sport, you will begin your studies with the foundations, and then build your knowledge in specific areas. Your required courses include foundations of sport management, sport marketing, and sport management internship plus you will choose any two of the following electives for a total of 15 credit hours:
- Sport in Society
- Sport and Athletic Administration
- Sport Event and Facility Management
- Sport Economics
Unlike other sports management programs, ours is housed in our School of Business and led by field-experienced faculty to provide you with the professional skills you’ll need in the real world. In addition to your career-focused curriculum, you will also complete a sport management capstone to gain valuable hands-on experience in a sport management setting.
At Post University, our supportive staff are available to offer you one-on-one guidance, from the starting gate to the finish line. Whether you attend classes at our Connecticut campus or online, you will receive personal attention every step of the way no matter which type of sports management school you choose to attend.
