Frequently Asked Questions

What is the deadline for applying to Post University?

Post University offers rolling admissions for on-campus undergraduate programs, meaning applications are accepted year-round as long as space remains available. Students planning to start in the fall or spring are encouraged to apply early to allow time for processing, housing selection, financial aid planning, and orientation scheduling. Priority housing deadlines may also apply.

What is the acceptance timeline?

Once all required application materials are submitted—such as proof of high school graduation and any additional documentation—most applicants receive an admissions decision within a few weeks. Review times may vary depending on the season and application volume.

Are test scores (SAT/ACT) required?

SAT or ACT scores are recommended but not required for many undergraduate on-campus programs. Students may submit scores if they wish, but they are not necessary to complete an application. Some specialized programs may include additional requirements, and an Admissions Advisor can help you determine what applies to your situation.

Can I get credit for AP, IB, or prior learning?

Yes. Post University reviews AP exam scores, IB coursework, and certain prior-learning experiences for possible credit. Official documentation is required for evaluation. Credit awards depend on subject area, scores, and program requirements.

Can I apply after the priority deadline for housing?

Yes. Applications submitted after the priority deadline are still reviewed; however, housing placements are made on a space-available basis. Students who deposit earlier typically have more options when selecting room types or residence halls.

How do I apply for housing?

After admission and submission of the enrollment deposit, students receive access to the housing application portal. From there, you can complete your housing form, view options, and indicate preferences. The Office of Residence Life is available to help with questions about rooms, meal plans, or accommodations.

What happens if I want to switch from commuter to residential (or vice-versa)?

Students may request a change to their housing status by contacting the Office of Residence Life or Admissions. Approval depends on residence hall availability and the timing of the request. Housing changes are most common early in the enrollment cycle but vary throughout the year.

What support services are available for first-year students?

First-year students have access to a wide range of support resources, including academic advising, success coaching, tutoring, library services, counseling, and career development guidance. The First-Year Experience team also offers workshops and activities to help new students transition to campus life.

How can I schedule a campus tour or meet with an advisor?

You can schedule a campus visit through the Visit Us page, which offers options for in-person tours, open houses, and virtual sessions. Students can also request an appointment directly with an Admissions Advisor to ask questions and explore academic interests.
