Administrative Assistant to the University Registrar

Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of Administrative Assistant to the University Registrar to join our growing team.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position assists with the daily operations of the Registrar’s Office. The position is serves as a primary support for the Registrar and secondary support to Registrar’s Office Leadership Team. This position requires confidentiality, exceptional professional etiquette, a solid work ethic, and a customer service attitude. This position is on Post’s main campus in Waterbury, CT and is NOT a remote opportunity.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Corresponds with all students and addresses inquiries (in person, telephone and email) in a timely manner.
  • Assist with Transcript orders through Parchment
  • Assist with Term Honors Recognition
  • Processes all military grades through uploads to Go Army, Go Navy and Go Air Force.
  • Review and correct Student Records for Compliance and Regulatory purposes
  • Serve as a liaison between the Registrar’s Office and other University Departments regarding Student Records.
  • Responsible for correcting and editing policies related to Academic Affairs and the Registrar’s Office.
  • Maintains documentation of office processes
  • Supports Registrar’s Office Leadership Team in meetings with note taking when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Additional Requirements:

  • This position requires a flexible schedule as well as weekend and evening hours as needed to meet the operational needs of the Office and University events.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Associate degree required
  • Strong understanding of FERPA
  • At least 1-3 years’ previous experience in Higher Education preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and work in an environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent phone, email, and in-person communication skills; maintains a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn new software and suggest process improvement
  • Professional, courteous demeanor and ability to work collegially with others
  • Strong Customer Service Skills and ability to de-escalate situations in a professional manner
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement assigned responsibilities and to work well under pressure to meet established deadlines
  • Enjoys working with and supporting adult and traditional student populations
  • Database management skills including ability to import data and maintaining records
