Associate Faculty – MBA – Project Management (Campus)

Post University is looking to establish a pool of experienced teaching professionals who are project management focused to fill potential part-time teaching positions in the Malcolm Baldrige School of Business.  Adjunct Faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s) on our campus in Waterbury, CT.  This includes preparing course materials, actively engaging with students, providing support, and responding to students in a timely manner, hold virtual office hours, and reporting grades.  Eligible candidates must be available to teach on-ground at our main campus in Waterbury, CT. 

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to teach traditional on-ground classes on our main campus accelerated 8-week format.  Additional part-time assignments may be available teaching MBA courses to online class populations using accelerated 8-week formats.
  • Employ a range of strategies to foster student learning, to engage student discussion in an active learning environment on campus and/or online setting.
  • Promptly assess student performance and appraise students of progress.
  • Applied technology skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) are required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills and demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of educational Learning Management Systems (Such as Blackboard LMS) is a plus.

Required Qualifications:
PhD, DBA, or equivalent terminal degree in Project Management, a minimum of 3 years teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP
  • 3 years teaching experience (online and campus classroom)
  • Project Based Learning experience
  • Understanding of PMI standards
  • PMP and Agile certifications.
  • Currently work in the industry as a project manager
