Evaluation & Matriculation Coordinator

Post University is seeking an Evaluation and Matriculation Coordinator to join our growing team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Evaluation and Matriculation Coordinator provides transcript evaluations to both online and main campus, which include military, undergraduate and graduate students. This position reports directly to the Assist Registrar for Evaluations and Curriculum as well as the Evaluation and Matriculation Coordinator – Team Lead. The Evaluation and Matriculation Coordinator supports all departments across the University. The Evaluation and Matriculation Coordinator acts as the liaison between these different departments and is a critical part of the university’s ongoing retention efforts. The Evaluation and Matriculation Coordinator maintains files and degree plans for all students. This position will require some weekend and evening hours as needed. This position has a hybrid schedule with some days remote and some days on campus in Waterbury, CT.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Evaluates submitted transcripts and applies appropriate transfer credit to degree plans for new students, SAP Appeals, Post Academy and foreign institution evaluations for Admissions and Retention.
  • Provides military students with a final transcript evaluation and Service Order Agreement (SOA) before the military student completes 6 academic credits with the
  • Supports advising and retention with mock program change evaluations.
  • Assist admissions and retention with evaluations pertaining to SAP appeals and Post Academy.
  • Research institutions and transfer courses using resources such as ACE, College Navigator, Ed.Gov and CollegeSource TES.
  • Collaborates with Program Chairs and Deans to ensure the student’s transfer credits and certifications meet the university’s academic requirements, potential graduate level licensure, and credit for Life Work Experience and Portfolio
  • Enters official transfer credits into Anthology Student
  • Build new enrollments during Enroute and Program of Study Update process including associating and re-assigning courses to respective degree programs.
  • Process CIS and CTC waivers
  • Approve and process course substitutions.
  • Review and approve Request to Take Courses at Another Institution forms.
  • Assist Registrar Coordinators with pending graduation audit curriculum questions and discrepancies.
  • Assists with articulation agreements.
  • Attends Academic Affairs meetings to keep abreast of curriculum changes and
  • Serves as a liaison between the Academic Advisors for any changes to student degree program(s) and provides student with a new degree plan or SOA as
  • Yearly review of Academic Policies, catalog and new academic year curriculum.
  • Prepares new curriculum year templates for Main Campus and Online programs.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a positive collaborative relationship with university departments as a key part of the university’s retention efforts.
  • Review office systems and suggest
  • Ongoing development of EMC’s Standard Operating Procedures and Registrar training documents.
  • Continued testing in Anthology Student Desktop and WebClient environments.
  • Performs other duties as

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A strong knowledge of university curriculum and transfer credit policy. Strong knowledge of Degree Progress Audit.
  • Excellent communication skills; maintains a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills, note taking, and ability to utilize resources.
  • Excellent computer skills: able to use Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel) and learn university systems.
  • Problem solver; is a solutions-oriented person.
  • Energetic and goal-oriented; Strong interest in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well in a team environment; enjoys working as a contributing member of the team.
  • One to three years’ experience in an academic environment.
