Post University is seeking a Main Campus Admissions Advisor (Full Time).

JOB SUMMARY:

The Main Campus Admissions Advisor has the primary responsibility to represent Post University at various recruitment events, high school visits and classroom presentations throughout the year, etc. and assist prospective students throughout the enrollment process. Additional priority role is developing and fostering good relationships with High School and Community College teachers and administrators and prospective students and their parents in an assigned geographic area.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to attending college fairs and on-campus events, generating and collecting quality leads from prospective students, inputting and maintaining clean data in the recruitment database. This position requires two administrative days in the office to follow up with prospective students and enter student information into the database. Evening and weekend work is a required role in this position.  The position also requires the candidate to conduct professional information sessions with Guidance Counselors, Transfer Coordinators, prospective students, and their families on the benefits of Post University.  This position is responsible for attending college fairs, and conducting briefings to increase awareness about Post University within an assigned territory.   The priority functions will be conducting presentations and new student recruitment.  As such, the ideal candidate will manage an assigned territory and participate in meetings and events, on and off-campus, manage student files and succeed in a metrics-driven setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Understand and communicate the values of a Post University education.
  • Generate quality leads from prospective students and input those leads into the database.
  • Develop relationships with high school guidance counselors and transfer coordinators within an assigned territory.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of on-campus and off-campus events.
  • Professionally represent Post University within assigned territory at college fairs, college nights, and other regional and national conferences as directed.
  • Build and sustain relationships within school districts and identify opportunities for outreach and promotion of Post University’s programs and initiatives.
  • Visit high school and community college students within assigned geographical area.
  • Perform presentations to prospective students and their families.
  • Evening and weekend work is required. Occasional overnight travel.
  • Conduct Professional College Advisory Sessions (PCAS) via telephone and occasionally face-to-face with the intent to help prospective students identify their interests and choose a Degree Program that fits each student’s individual personal and career goals.
  • Promptly respond to student inquiries regarding Post University and our program offerings.
  • Data entry of student enrollment information to ensure full and proper documentation.
  • Follow-up with prospective students/applicants and record results in the database to ensure excellent customer service throughout the enrollment process.
  • Work collaboratively with the Financial Aid, Office of Student Information, and other departments to assist students with their financing and advising needs.
  • Participate in student registration and development activities designed to promote student awareness, retention and success. 
  • Meet & ideally exceed established team and individual enrollment goals. 
  • Participate in weekly team and floor-wide meetings to address best sales practices and strategies. 
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to achieve established results and goals with minimal supervision.
  • Possesses knowledge of all applicable policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to two years related experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have excellent PC skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet applications and database software.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work in a team oriented, focused environment.
