Job Title: Client Advisor, West Coast

Sentinel U is a company aligned with American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Post University with 20 years of online education experience, exclusively focusing on nursing and healthcare professionals.  Sentinel U has delivered over 150,000 virtual clinical learner experiences and counting.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Sentinel U Solutions Sales Executive will be responsible for establishing and driving sales activities within assigned territory within the academic education sales team, with a priority focus on the acquisition of new clients. The Client Advisor prospects and penetrates higher education programs (nursing and healthcare) for new client schools, developing a strong pipeline and closing opportunities through their own sales efforts.

We are looking for smart, self-motivated, and enthusiastic team members to help us continue our growth story while positioning Sentinel U as the healthcare virtual simulation leader.  This person will work with a group of focused and passionate team members that share the same goals while leveraging our knowledge and experience within the higher education, nursing, and healthcare industries.

Your Primary Function: 

  • This position is responsible for delivering revenue increases to Sentinel U by exceeding sales targets within an assigned multi-state territory via an outbound pursuit strategy, using an outcomes-based sales approach.
  • Preferred locations: Arizona or Nevada. Candidates in Oregon and Washington state will also be considered.

You will succeed by:

  • Prioritizing new client development and revenue growth, along with the necessary activities and sales approach required to win new accounts.
  • Consistently engaged with your current portfolio in a way that promotes new product adoptions and secures renewals.
  • Leading meaningful discovery calls to identifying customer needs through solution-based selling techniques, focused on improving program and student learning outcomes.
  • Analyzing customer needs, synthesizing information, creating and executing compelling solution proposals that cultivate new opportunities.
  • Delivering compelling and customized product demonstrations on-campus and virtually, prioritizing on-site meetings within your assigned territory.
  • Successfully managing client relationships through all phases of the customer life cycle, from prospect to renewal.
  • Expanding and nurturing existing relationships within nursing schools at all degree levels (associate, baccalaureate, RN to BSN completion, advanced practice).
  • Working with industry associations and state boards of nursing to increase Sentinel U brand awareness and revenue opportunities.
  • Being incredibly organized, tracking and managing client information, territory activity, and sale pipeline changes via our CRM platform daily.
  • Creating openness, trust, and confidence with both our clients and internal teams.
  • Coordinating the successful adoption and on-going implementation of our solutions within our partner schools.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to higher education and c-suite professionals by providing guidance and recommendations that align with curricular, strategic, and nursing education best practices.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • High-trust, high-integrity individual driven to make a positive impact on the institutions and people we serve.
  • BS/BA degree and/or 3+ years of successful outside sales experience in a quota-carrying environment with a documented track record of success, specifically in business development. Previous experience in nursing higher education, EdTech, SaaS, and/or healthcare sales is a plus.
  • Insatiable learner, driven to deeply understand our industry and product portfolio, and the ability to apply this knowledge to enhance the value you bring to client and prospect conversations.
  • Excellent prospecting skills, with the motivation to overcome the challenges inherent in earning new client adoptions.
  • Adept at sales planning, territory management, and process execution, with a strong aptitude for analyzing information and the flexibility to adjust strategy and approach as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment, with execution and revenue deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills across all phases of the client and prospect interaction (verbal, written, presentation).
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience (Salesforce/HubSpot)
  • Currently reside or willing to live in assigned territory (Arizona or Nevada is preferred)

Travel:

  • Overnight travel up to 50% is required to engage with customers and prospects, in addition to participating in industry conferences and team meetings
  • Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
