In the summer of 2018, Post University launched the Principal to President Scholarship Program…a $15,000/year scholarship that can be renewed annually for each of four years as long as the student remains in good standing at the University.
What’s unique about this scholarship is that recipients are chosen and referred to Post by their high school principal…based not upon their academic accomplishments…but on their ability to become successful students.
Students come from throughout Connecticut, including many the area including Middlebury, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Prospect, Litchfield, and Derby. Other students are coming from New Haven and Fairfield county communities of New Haven, Stratford, and Darien.
They are students who have yet to reach their full academic potential but likely would benefit from Post’s personalized and supportive approach to learning. Against all odds, they graduated from high school but could become truly successful university students under our tutelage.
The scholarship represents what we’re all about – taking a personal interest in every student’s academic choices…making their education a team effort…and preparing them for academic, career and lifetime success.
The P2P (Principal to President) Scholarship is just one of several ways Post tries to ensure every student who wants a college education has
the financial wherewithal to make their dream a reality.
Another example, the Post faculty awards two four-year full-tuition scholarships to community-involved students who are interested in business…the school partners with the CT Community Foundation on up to two Baldrige Scholarships each year…and the University offers a special Sacred Heart High School tuition – $1,000 over the cost of Sacred Heart’s tuition – to its graduates…just to spotlight a few.
And, for students who may not qualify for a scholarship, the Financial Aid office works with prospects to uncover loan opportunities through FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and other tools so anyone who wants to study at Post University can do so. That’s how Post Makes It Personal™.
