Soldiers Can Apply Military Education and Experience Toward BS Degree

Waterbury, CT (November 18, 2021) – Post University has entered into a multi-year academic articulation agreement with the U.S. Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear School (USACBRNS) in Fort Leonard Wood, MO allowing enlisted personnel to apply their military education and experience toward a degree from Post University. Soldiers will be able to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security.

“Post University is honored to have been selected as one of the degree programs best suited for USACBRNS Soldiers,” said Elizabeth Johnson, provost and chief academic officer at Post University. “We have a formidable reputation as a military-friendly school and this articulation agreement further strengthens Post’s commitment to helping America’s servicemen and women achieve their academic goals.”

Under the agreement, Post University will accept up to 21 Army School credits and/or 36 Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) credits towards the 120 credits needed to earn a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management & Homeland Security. To obtain a degree, participating military and veteran students must complete all required general education courses, elective courses, and core courses.

Located at Fort Leonard Wood, a U.S. Army educational institution, U.S. Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear School is the preeminent training school for individuals specializing in military defense. The school’s mission is to design, acquire and build the Army’s future Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense capability and to ensure the Army is postured to fight and win in a CBRN environment. By pursuing this agenda, it’s not surprising so many USACBRNS students choose to pursue a formal degree in homeland security.

Since 1976, Post University has provided educational benefits to military personnel through a variety of flexible and convenient degree options specifically designed for active-duty military, veterans, and their eligible family members. In 2021, U.S. News & World Report ranked Post University among the Best Online Veterans Graduate Business Programs.

Post University is approved by all military branches for tuition assistance and by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the use of all educational benefits. The University is recognized as a Military Friendly School for providing a high-quality academic and educative experience to military service members, veterans, and their dependents.
