Susan spent years bringing new life into the world as an obstetrics nurse, offering comfort and care during some of the most meaningful moments in her patients’ lives. Later, as a clinical manager at a Waterbury hospital, she continued to serve with heart and purpose.
Then the world changed. When COVID-19 swept through her community, Susan didn’t hesitate—she stepped forward. She led the drive-thru vaccination site on the Post University campus, helping administer 32,000 shots in just four months. It was exhausting, emotional work. But it was also deeply meaningful.
Susan was recently honored at the Hartford Business Journal’s Healthcare Heroes Awards. She is with Kim Nerud, Dean of the Nursing School at Post University.
That experience lit a new fire in her. “What’s next?” she asked herself. The answer brought her back to where she took the next step as a leader: Post University.
She recently completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Management and Organizational Leadership, SIMPath. Susan is ready lead on an even greater scale.
“It’s always been Post,” she said. And Post is proud to be part of her story—then, now, and in what’s next.
