On Sept. 26, at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT, the Waterbury Regional Chamber honored three successful entrepreneurs with the Malcolm Baldrige Community Award.

It was the 24th Annual Malcolm Baldrige Awards.

The three recipients embody vision, leadership and commitment to our community: Chuck Boulier, Tim Bergstrom and Joe Riolo.

The opening remarks were provided by Selim Noujaim, a Waterbury businessman and a member of the Post University Board of Trustees. Selim accepted a donation on behalf of Post from the Chamber. It was a donation to Post University’s Malcolm Baldrige Scholarship Fund which is administered by the Connecticut Community Foundation in Waterbury. Mr. Noujaim had this to say:

Malcolm Baldrige left us a legacy of excellence. His name graces Post University’s School of Business. As our dean of our school of business Jeremi Bauer reminded me, Mac’s embodiment of quality is embedded throughout the school’s business curriculum. The principles that continue to define Mac’s legacy have been embraced by organizations throughout the world. They are the benchmarks for quality, prosperity and innovation.
