Remind your student about the value of scholarships
If you need a reason to encourage your student to look for scholarships, here are two strong reasons.
- Scholarships help students have more time to focus on their studies. Research shows that work can take up more than 15 hours per week and becomes an obstacle to academic success. For many students, the stresses of working make it difficult for them to graduate on time, or graduate with the high grades they have the potential to achieve.
- Scholarships can fill the gap. Scholarship assistance can support students who fall in the gap between high and low-income levels — students who may not qualify for a need-based scholarship and who do not meet the criteria for a merit-based scholarship.
Recently, we launched a new partnership with Scholarships360 to support our students in their academic journey. Founded in 2010, Scholarships360 has a database of over 5,000 scholarships.
Through Scholarships360, students can now access external scholarship opportunities that are personalized to their unique needs and their academic goals. Encourage your student to set up an account with their student email account.
