Lindsey Scorey Named Assistant Director of Honors Program

You’re bound to see some new faces around campus as we kick off the fall 2025 semester.  One of those new faces is that of Lindsey Scorey, Assistant Director of Honors Program.  Joining the team in July, Lindsey is certainly familiar with honors programs and supporting honors students – having been an honors program student herself during her undergraduate studies, and most recently working as the Graduate Assistant for the Wilkes University Honors Program, her alma mater.

Lindsey, who also has experience working in several areas of higher education, is excited to work with Post’s Honors Program students and continue to enhance this vibrant community focused on their academic, personal, and professional development.  “The work that our Honors Program does to give these students the opportunity to become well-rounded individuals is something I cannot wait to immerse myself in further,” she said.

When asked what advice she would share with Honors Program students, Lindsey said that they should try anything and everything.  She would encourage them to seek out new experiences, get involved, explore unique opportunities, attend events and participate in community service.  “If you participate and be wholly yourself, you are guaranteed to find something or someone who will help you grow and succeed,” she shared.

Reach New Heights: Manage Your Time Like a Pro!

As the new academic year gets underway, we’re sharing some helpful tips and strategies so that you can take your academic game to the next level.  Time management is tough – especially when we feel like we have to do it all.  While balance is key (after all, we all deserve time for self-care), it’s important to prioritize what needs to get done to achieve our goals.  Here are three tips to help you make the most of your time:
  • Try the Pomodoro Technique (25 minutes of focus, 5-minute breaks).
  • Break big assignments into small, manageable chunks.
  • Protect your study time—say “no” when needed, even to family/friends.
