Struggle determining the difference between “fake news” and real news? Here are some basic steps we can all take in the fight to stop misinformation and disinformation:
- Recognize the power and influence of mass media.
- Check the source and date of publication.
- Look beyond the headline and image.
- Be aware of confirmation bias.
- Step our of your comfort zone.
