Photo of the Week

Last week, several local online Honors Program students (and some family members) joined the Honors team on campus, and those who aren’t local joined virtually, to pack more than 60 drawstring bags with socks, non-perishable snacks, deodorant, toothpaste, and more as part of its recent Sock It Forward sock and hygiene drive.

Spotlight: Charmed, I’m Sure

What started as a side hustle — welding custom charm jewelry at Maine pop-ups — became a viral business success thanks to one TikTok video.

Mia Gizek, a 2016 graduate of Post University and Advisory Board Member at The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business, opened Good Stock Charm Bar in June 2024. Within weeks, a customer video sparked a wave of interest, and Mia’s thoughtful, hands-on approach transformed the viral moment into lasting momentum.

She went from working solo to managing a team of 12 and expanded her space by 500 square feet before the end of the year.

“I didn’t go into this expecting overnight success. I was ready to hustle — and when the moment came, I was ready.”
