March is Women’s History Month!

Check out all of the events and activities we have planned.  Sponsored by the National Women’s History Alliance, this year’s theme is “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.”  According to the Alliance, the theme is a “tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and also a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history.”  Head over to the Alliance’s website to learn more!

  • Virtual Event | Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern time.  Seeing Red: The Power of Female Advocacy and Agency on International Women’s Day.
After aspects of her physical and emotional pain were discounted by doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, and even some friends and family for years, Sharon Rosenblatt kept fighting. Loud and unrelenting, she found the diagnosis that helped her to finally move on with her life with effective treatment. So often, women’s mental and physical health can be dismissed as stress or ‘lady troubles’ during that time of the month, but that couldn’t be more inaccurate and dangerous for healthy outcomes. Sharon shares her story of tireless energy to finally figure out ‘just what was wrong with her’, and how to manage a chronic medical diagnosis with self-advocacy and agency. Interwoven throughout the event will be historical and modern references to icons who have helped demolish barriers to care and lifted women’s voices for health equity | Join here at event time
