Summer Break Personal Safety & Title IX Awareness
Your well-being matters — both on and off campus. As you enjoy your summer:
- Know Your Rights
You have the right to feel safe, respected, and free from harassment. Familiarize yourself with Post University’s Title IX policy and how to report concerns. - Set Boundaries & Practice Consent
Consent should always be Freely given, Reversible, Informed, Enthusiastic and Specific (FRIES)— in all interactions. - Stay Aware of Your Surroundings
Especially when traveling, attending social events, or meeting new people. - Trust Your Instincts
If something feels off, it probably is. Don’t hesitate to remove yourself from uncomfortable situations. - Use the Buddy System
Stick with friends at parties, on trips, or in unfamiliar areas. - Protect Your Digital Presence
Avoid oversharing location or personal info online. Keep your passwords secure. - Save Emergency Contacts
Program local emergency numbers and your school’s Title IX office into your phone, (203) 596-6027. - Report & Support
If you or someone else experiences misconduct, know that it’s okay to speak up. Reach out to campus or community resources for confidential support.
*Not sure who to contact? Your Title IX office can guide you toward the right resources — even during summer break!
