Meet the 2025 Valedictorians

We turned the University blog over to our two 2025 Valedictorians. These outstanding and well-rounded students embody an impressive breadth of knowledge and pride of personal character.  Before they venture off into the world, each took a moment to offer a message of inspiration to their classmates as well as reflect upon their time at the University.

Student Spotlight: Two Students Honored with Distinguished Eagle Award at 2nd Annual Honors Program Symposium

Main Campus students Anna Eicke, ’25, and Nina Langenfeld, ’25, were each presented the Distinguished Eagle Award at the second annual Honors Program Symposium.  The award, which is given annually to a graduate presenting at the symposium, recognizes a student who embodies the core values of the Honors Program.  These include academic excellence, active participation in co-curricular activities, and displaying the skills necessary for success in the workforce.  This is the first time two students have been selected to receive the award in a given year.
The theme of this year’s symposium, Intersections of Inquiry in a Community of CARE, explored the important role academics play in building and sustaining a vibrant and dynamic community focused on learning.  In her remarks, Eicke acknowledged the role a supportive and engaged community has had in her success.  “Success isn’t just about what you achieve on paper.  It’s also about how you show up for the people around you and the relationships you build along the way,” she said.
Langenfeld reaffirmed this sentiment, talking about how the people she has encountered on her journey have had a profound impact on her own growth.
“This award means a lot because it reflects everything we’ve built here,” she said.  “The work, the growth, and the people we met along the way.  We’re proud to have been part of a program that believes in the community and care.  And it’s something we’ll definitely take with us moving forward in our lives.”
