Faculty Spotlight: Program Chair of Communication & Media Studies Teaches Students how Storytelling Shapes Identity, Influences Media, and Drives Change

On a Saturday night, you might spot Kellie Lambert in the stands at a Post University hockey game, cheering as loudly as any student. By Monday morning, she is back in the classroom, weaving Taylor Swift or TikTok into a discussion where pop culture meets media literacy, and each lesson is a chance to connect.  For 30 years, Lambert has been a trusted voice in Connecticut journalism, covering music for local magazines and writing her column for The Republican-American, a newspaper based in Waterbury.  She is now using that voice to educate and inspire future communication professionals to create content that is inspiring and impactful.

supportive community. Neica says that, “Getting involved in club life has given me the chance to try new things, share ideas, and help build a space where everyone feels welcome. I’ve especially enjoyed hosting Social Hour and brainstorming fun ways to bring people together. COSE has been such a rewarding way to build leadership skills, foster friendships, and contribute to a positive community. I love creating experiences that help others feel included and inspired.”

Weekly Wellness Corner

The Weekly Wellness Corner is brought to you by Mental Health and Wellness Services – here, you’ll find content, tips, tricks, programs, and resources to help you thrive as a Post Eagle!

As the semester gets busy, taking a moment to practice gratitude can help you slow down and reset. Noticing even one good thing each day can boost your mood, reduce stress, and help you feel more grounded.

Try This
Take 30 seconds to reflect on:
  • One person you appreciate
  • One thing your body allows you to do
  • One small moment from today that brought comfort
Gratitude doesn’t have to be big, it just has to be noticed.
