Resource Rundown: Writing Center

Post University and the Center for Academic Success are dedicated to developing and improving the written communication skills of all our students.  The Writing Center has been developed with our students in mind. This site houses writing resources and instructional material that we have tailored to our students’ needs, and we provide these as a supplemental service to the University community.  Ultimately, the goal is to provide students with the necessary writing skills to become strong, academically successful, independent writers.  Click the button below to access the Writing Center.

Mindset Check-In
This is your reminder to uncloud your mind. Now and then throughout the day, bring awareness to what’s going on in your head. This helps you come back to the moment and re-focus. Here are some tips to allow you to be mindful now and in the moment.
We have two modes in which our brains operate:
  • Default mode- The default mode or “autopilot” is when your thoughts drift. It’s when you go through your day without even thinking.
  • Direct Mode- The direct mode is when you are fully present and actively controlling what you think about.
You are presented with two choices every day: to repeat or evolve.
