Four-Year, Full-Tuition Scholarship for Outstanding Business Students

WATERBURY, CT – (November 1, 2021) – In recognition of National Scholarship Month, Post University has opened applications for its coveted Malcolm Baldrige Scholarship. The four-year, full-tuition scholarship will enable two outstanding students to attend the university’s Malcolm Baldrige School of Business, located on its campus. The scholarship and business school are named in honor of the late Malcolm Baldrige, who served as U.S. Secretary of Commerce from 1981 to 1987.

“For the past ten years, Post University has been proud to award the Malcolm Baldrige Scholarship to two exemplary incoming business students,” said Post University Provost Dr. Elizabeth Johnson. “The recipients of this prestigious scholarship are selected based on our belief that they possess the potential to follow in the footsteps of its namesake and grow into successful business drivers of tomorrow.”

Eligibility for the Malcolm Baldrige Scholarship is limited to full-time, residential students admitted to Post University for Fall 2022 enrollment who have a high school grade point average of at least 3.65. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, SAT/ACT scores will not be used to determine this year’s recipients. Other eligibility criteria apply.

Malcolm Baldrige Scholarship applications must include:

  • completed scholarship application form,
  • high school transcript,
  • resume detailing student activities, community service, leadership experience, and any work experience,
  • two letters of recommendation from an individual (teacher or employer) addressing the applicant’s academic abilities,
  • and a 500-word essay detailing what an organization’s role is, or should be, in promoting social responsibility.

Applications, including essay and supporting documents, must be emailed to [email protected] no later than February 1, 2022. Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Admissions Committee and Business Faculty Readers based on academic excellence and a commitment to quality. The winners will be notified by March 1, 2022.

To remain eligible for the scholarship each year, recipients must maintain status as a full-time residential student pursuing a degree within The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University. Students must also maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.
