University promotes Alisa Hunt to Director of Graduate Studies, and welcomes Program Chair Nick LoPreiato and Program Chair Alicia Garfield

WATERBURY, CT – (March 11, 2019) – Post University has announced two new hires and one promotion to its programmatic leadership team. Alisa Hunt, Ph.D., CPA has been promoted to director of graduate studies in the Malcolm School of Business, Nick LoPreiato, D.B.A was appointed the program chair for Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation and Alicia Garfield has been named program chair for Undergraduate Marketing.

“We are excited to welcome Nick, and Alicia to campus. We’re also proud of Alisa for her much deserved promotion,” said Post University President and CEO John L. Hopkins. “Each one brings unique experiences and passions to their roles. I have no doubt they will take their programs to the next level, creating an even better experience for our students.”

In her new role as Director of Graduate Studies, Alisa Hunt, Ph.D., CPA will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the graduate program and acting as the liaison among the graduate students, program faculty, and the college administration. She joined Post University as an adjunct faculty member in 2009, moving into a full-time role in 2012 as the assistant academic program manager for the Masters of Business (MBA) program. She was the co-program chair for the Master of Science in Accounting program. Dr. Hunt is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and previously owned her own accounting firm. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from National University and both her Master of Science in Education and a Doctorate in Education from Capella University.

Alicia Garfield comes to Post University with 20 years of marketing experience across varied industry levels, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and all levels of the supply chain. As the program chair for Undergraduate Marketing, Garfield will work alongside faculty members to develop and plan courses and programming. Prior to joining Post, Garfield was the global marketing director for Hologic Inc. in Danbury, CT. She received a bachelor’s degree from Providence College and her Master of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Fairfield University.

A faculty member at Post University since 2013, Nick LoPreiato, D.B.A will focus on entrepreneurship and corporate innovation for the Malcolm Baldridge School of Business in his new role as program chair. With more than 25 years of business and entrepreneurship experience, LoPreiato shifted his focus from business ownership in order to begin teaching in 2009. He received his bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University, his Master of Science from National University, and his Doctorate of Business Administration from Capella University.
