WATERBURY, Conn. – (May 13, 2024) – Post University is pleased to announce high school seniors Alexa Arnold and Jacquelyn Russell as this year’s recipients of the four-year, full-tuition scholarship to study at the Post’s Malcolm Baldrige School of Business.

Each year, Post awards two outstanding high school students who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree from The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business with a scholarship. Each scholarship, which cover tuition-related expenses, is valued at $124,300.

A senior at Snow Hill High School in Snow Hill, Md., Arnold has shown outstanding leadership and dedication, qualities that will enrich her contributions to the University’s Women’s Volleyball team this Fall. With this scholarship, Arnold plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in sport management at The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University.

Russell, a senior at East Hampton High School in East Hampton, Conn., has consistently displayed a strong work ethic and a passion for teamwork and collaboration. She will be using this scholarship to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business administration and join the Women’s Basketball team, where she plans to apply her skills both on and off the court.

“The Malcolm Baldrige Scholarship is an investment in future business leaders. It not only recognizes their past achievements but their future potential,” said Post University’s Malcolm Baldrige School of Business Interim Dean Alisa Hunt. “We are excited to have Alexa and Jacquelyn join us this Fall and look forward to watching these two talented students grow into successful business leaders.”

Named in honor of the late Malcolm Baldrige, previously serving as the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, this scholarship recognizes students who embody the principles that defined his remarkable career: dedication to excellence, commitment to ethical business practices, and a drive to make a positive impact. Recipients are selected by the Admissions Committee and Business Faculty Readers based on their academic excellence and commitment to quality.

To qualify for the scholarship, students must enroll as a full-time residential student, have a high school GPA of at least 3.65 and meet other requirements including two letters of recommendation from teachers and a 500-word essay to be eligible for this scholarship.
