WATERBURY HEALTH COVID-19 VACCINE REGISTRATION PORTAL OPEN TO 75+ RESIDENTS
Post University to Host First New Haven County Drive-Thru Vaccination site
WATERBURY – (January 18, 2021) – Waterbury Health in partnership with Post University will open a drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination site at University’s Country Club Road campus beginning on Monday, January 25, 2021. The opening of the site coincides with Connecticut’s next phase of vaccinations which officially expanded to include all Connecticut residents who are 75 years and older.
This public clinic is expected to bolster greater Waterbury’s ability to quickly get shots into the arms of citizens. The site plans to administer 500 doses per day during its first week and up to 2,000 vaccines a day based on vaccine availability.
“We are working closely with the Waterbury Hospital healthcare teams and following their guidelines for administering the vaccine to eligible Phase 1B individuals. Distributing vaccines to residents are a critical part of getting our community back to normal,” said Post University CEO & President John L. Hopkins. The vaccine will be administered free of charge.

Scheduling Your Vaccine in Two Easy Steps
- Step One: Residents sign up at: https://www.waterburyhospital.org/vaccine/.
- Step Two: Wait for your email notification from the Center for Disease Control’s Vaccine Administration System (VAMS) database. Residents will be notified to make an appointment based upon availability.
At the Hospital’s website, Residents can also learn more about the vaccine and other frequently asked questions.
Residents are strongly encouraged to sign up through the Waterbury Health vaccine site. Those who do not have internet access can call 203-575-5250, Ext. 4. Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to register for an appointment.
The drive-thru vaccination clinic will take place at the Post University campus located on 800 Country Club Road in Waterbury starting Jan. 25.
Patients must register for the vaccine. Vaccines are by appointment only and based on availability.
