WATERBURY, CT – (Oct. 23, 2018) – Post University has been ranked among the top five best online and nontraditional colleges nationwide for veterans and military personnel, an annual survey by Military Times found.
Veterans and military personnel enrolled at Post University have a 62 percent graduation rate and account for more than a quarter of Post’s total enrollment, according to the ninth annual edition of the national survey by Military Times.
The survey results also show that Waterbury, Connecticut.-based Post University is the only Connecticut college among the best online and nontraditional schools for veterans and service members.
“Post University’s recognition in the ‘Best for Vets’ college survey is testimony to our ongoing commitment to meet the needs of students with military ties,” said John L. Hopkins, president and CEO of Post University.
Called Best for Vets: Colleges 2019, the survey is the most comprehensive school-by school assessment of the academic achievement rates of veterans and military students and the services available to them.
Post University was one of about 208 colleges that participated in this year’s Best for Vets: College survey, which covered four-year universities, two-year colleges, and career and technical colleges, as well as online and non-traditional colleges.
The survey documents each school’s on-campus veterans’ culture and the array of tailored services, special policies, accommodations and financial incentives available to veterans and military personnel. Military Times produces other Best for Vets surveys that cover employers, places to live, and franchise opportunities.
“Military Times’ Best for Vets designation is trusted throughout the veteran community as the mark of excellence for schools and other organizations that work with veterans, service members and military families,” said George Altman, Military Times’ editor in charge of the college rankings.
