Senior Kendall Fitzgerald has been awarded the 2018-2019 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) East Region Scholar Athlete of the Year, making it her third consecutive year winning a CACC title.  The talented young athlete is captain of the women’s ice hockey team and runs cross-country. Not only does Fitzgerald excel as an athlete, but also as a student. She maintains a 3.98 GPA and majors in biology.  Last year, Fitzgerald picked up the CACC league’s top female award combining athletics and academics.

“My professors, coaches and teammates have given me a lot of support, thus allowing me to compete and stay on top of my academics,” says Fitzgerald who comes from Kamloops, British Columbia.

Though Fitzgerald works extremely hard to succeed in all her endeavors, she balances out her social life as well, making fun memories with her teammates and friends. Being a Post Eagle has allowed her to find this balance, and she encourages others to as well.

“Because of its small size, Post provides a lot of opportunities to become involved. The staff goes above and beyond to help students succeed in and out of the classroom, and they really care about students and their successes,” says Fitzgerald.
