Tutoring Services
The Center for Academic Success offers individualized tutoring sessions to all students in a wide variety of subjects including: mathematics, writing, accounting, finance, statistics, algebra, biology, sociology, and English. In addition to offering course-specific learning strategies, tutors also assist with organizational skills and study skills.
All services are provided in a welcoming environment (both in-person and remote) where students are encouraged to ask questions, seek out additional information, and challenge themselves to reach new academic heights. These services are offered at no additional cost to students. Peer Educators and Specialists are available at the Center for Academic Success during the normal operating hours.

When should I Get Tutoring?
As soon as possible. Don’t wait until the day before your paper is due or you take a test to get the help you need.
Assistance – be it on demand or face-to-face in the Center for Academic Success (CAS) is readily available. Just remember, The CAS does get busy during mid-terms and finals.
What Do I Bring With Me?
If you are coming to the CAS, bring a copy of the assignment or problem(s), your book, any work you have done, and some good questions for the tutor.
Is There a Fee to Use?
No. The CAS is free to all full-time and part-time students.
How do I Meet With a Tutor on Campus?
Tutors are available at the CAS during the center’s normal operating hours. However, if you need a subject-specific tutor, it is best to call 203.596.4686 to schedule your appointment.
How Often Can I Use the CAS?
You may receive help on a drop-in basis at any time during posted hours.
