Online Students
Post University recognizes that all students may, from time to time, need assistance to address personal situations. We have a variety of resources for all of our online students, which include the Student Online Assistance Resource (SOAR), hotline numbers, wellness apps, and confidential online mental health screenings. Please be assured that these confidential resources are there to help you. Do not hesitate to utilize them.
The Student Online Assistance Resource (SOAR) provides all online students, and family members in their household, with confidential counseling, financial, legal, and personal convenience services at no cost.
Experience has taught us that talking to others can help resolve situations better and quicker. These professionals have many options at their disposal to help address your situation. In addition to the counseling resources and contacts provided to you by SOAR, if would like to find a different professional to speak to, Psychology Today’s Therapist Directory can be a good option to match your needs, preferences, and insurance provider with a mental health professional in your community. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists
Online Mental Health Screening: Mental health is a key part of your overall health. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a mental health professional – they are a checkup from your neck up. This program is completely anonymous and confidential, and immediately following the brief questionnaire you will see your results, recommendations, and key resources. Take a brief self-assessment for Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Alcohol Use, Substance Use, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Eating Disorder, and Resiliency/Stress. http://screening.mentalhealthscreening.org/post
