Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science

Protect the Planet and Grow Your Career

We share a collective responsibility to defend the Earth from today’s environmental problems — and we look to passionate, critical thinkers like you to lead us to more sustainable practices. With a Post University environmental science degree, you can enter the field as a park ranger, lab technician or other environmental stewardship position that may open doors to a management role.

Program Highlights
Step outside into our classroom: Application of the science we teach in our lectures and labs is essential in environmental studies. You’ll learn the tools and skills to accurately collect environmental data, as well as gain the law background needed to understand and implement policy change as you explore:

  • Field guides and protocols
  • Environmental parameters
  • Feedbacks within natural and human ecosystems
  • Experimental design and field methodology
  • Scientific communication
  • View curriculum

Your course and fieldwork will conclude with an internship. Depending on your concentration and career goals, you may find opportunities at companies like the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, community nonprofits and farms, or local environmental management groups or high schools.

Unlike other environmental science programs in Connecticut, Post University is with you every step of the way and emphasizes hands-on experience and personal attention. That’s why we keep class sizes small and provide one-on-one academic advising to direct your program of study and answer your questions in applying for environmental science jobs upon graduation.
