Quality Assurance Specialist

Post University is currently accepting applications for the Quality Assurance Specialist


Under supervision of the Director and Assistant Director of Compliance, the Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for tasks including but not limited to compiling data for and assessing student aid eligibility for federal funds and troubleshooting to provide resolution to the Office of Student Finance to ensure federal regulations are being followed. This position must be able to analyze billing histories and transcripts, and create exception reports to identify and help correct discrepant data. The Quality Assurance Specialist will work in a proactive manner and utilize problem solving skills to promote compliance with all internal and federal financial aid policy and procedural information. Internal customer service is extensive and time sensitive. 


  • Meet & ideally exceed established team and individual career and department goals.

  • Participate in team meetings to address best practices and strategies.

  • Understand all applicable policies, procedures, regulations and laws regarding federal fund eligibility and maintain continuous education via handbooks, webinars, and compliance discussions.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

  • Train the staff on new and existing policies and procedures.

  • Assist in ongoing internal auditing efforts.

  • Be involved in yearly audit by reviewing account billing histories, audit files, and providing suggestions for corrections as necessary.

  • Provide exceptional internal customer service.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Provide support and work closely with other departments to ensure university compliance.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, however an equivalent combination of education, experience or training can be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulations and university policies and procedures.

  • Willingness to attend trainings.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in rules and regulations and to stay within compliance.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement assigned responsibilities and to work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.

  • Must have excellent PC skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and database software.

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
