The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI)

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) purpose is to develop, encourage, and support an entrepreneurial mindset and learning among students, alumni, faculty, associates, and the communities we serve. Developing an entrepreneurial mindset in our learners requires infusing within the curriculum and experiences the following attributes: creativity, innovation, taking initiative, risk taking, critical thinking, problem solving, creating value, and adaptability. The CEI fosters experiential learning opportunities across multiple disciplines for students as they learn alongside business owners and mentors.

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is designed to directly assist and support students, alumni, and community members interested in building or growing an enterprise. This is accomplished through support, culture, competitions, events, education, research, and relationships within business communities.  Having a Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation further embeds the Malcolm Baldrige School of Business in our community by providing an outlet necessary for job creation and exploration.

We know that people around the globe are interested in entrepreneurship and that they may not have access to resources on a college or university campus. Our three value propositions to solve our stakeholders’ problems are:

  1. Explore and learn entrepreneurship and gain life changing skills

  2. Experience personal and professional growth, development, and fulfillment
  3. Accelerating the entrepreneurship process by bring all of the necessary pieces together to help you create, deliver, and capture value.

Mission

To make entrepreneurship as simple as possible.

Vision
