Students of our big data training concentrations will focus on learning and developing programming-based solutions for storing, mining, cleaning, filtering and ultimately analyzing large volumes of data.
Following the core coursework, you will complete an independent study project or internship. There are many organizations eager to work with you to earn real-world experience in the fields of applied mathematics and data science jobs before graduation.
Students in the interdisciplinary studies concentration will focus on developing their field-specific knowledge in an area of interest towards which they may choose to apply their data science skills upon graduation.
The final requirement is an independent study course in which the student will combine their data science skills with their field knowledge in an applied project.
