WATERBURY, CT – (July 10, 2018) – Looking to its future, Post University® has named Dr. Jeremi Bauer Dean of its acclaimed The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business. Dr. Bauer takes over from Acting Dean Christopher Szpryngel, who becomes Director of Special Projects and will help source and build Post University’s graduate programs enrollments.

The transition is a return, of sorts, to Dr. Bauer’s roots. When he joined Post in 2013, he was an Associate Faculty member in The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business undergraduate Marketing program. For the last three years, Dr. Bauer was Dean of The School of Arts and Sciences, where he led several exciting initiatives designed to enhance student success.

“I put the students first in everything I do,” Dr. Bauer says about his teaching philosophy, which reflects the University’s commitment to provide student-focused learning experiences and personalized educations.

Dr. Bauer earned his Doctor of Business Administration, specializing in Leadership, Marketing and Finance, from Walden University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and he holds a post-master’s certificate in applied mathematics from Villanova University. In addition to his academic credentials, Dr. Bauer draws upon 15 years of business experience in sales, executive sales and marketing management, where the focus was on customers and employees first. His primary objective is to elevate students’ understanding of
subjects while preparing them for real-world applications of learned material.

“The real difference lies in why knowledge matters and how it apples in the real world. I do everything within my abilities to prepare students for life after college,” Dr. Bauer recounts. “I genuinely care about their success.”

A voracious reader, Dr. Bauer consumes more than 30 books and 70+ articles each year. His research interests primarily are in leadership, but he also stays current with the latest trends on a variety of topics, from psychology and marketing, to computer science. Active in the community, Dr. Bauer has served on several boards and was a volunteer at the Small Business Administration (SBA). At the SBA, he helped business leaders assess their organizations.
