The Jewish Community Foundation

Deadline: May 15, 2023
Award Amount: $1,000 – $3,000

The Jewish Community Foundation Scholarship is a “need-based financial assistance to Jewish students for college and graduate school education, including tuition, fees, room and board.”  Applicants must be accepted or currently enrolled at an accredited institution of higher learning in the United States, current residents of the Greater Hartford area, and U.S. citizens. Applicants must be Jewish (with the exception of the Wall, Goldfarb and Rosenblatt Scholarships).”  Applications will open in January 2023.  See scholarship award limitations on the website.

Review It Scholarship

Deadline: May 15, 2023
Award Amount: $1,000

To be considered eligible for the Review It Scholarship applicants must be attending college or university no later than September of 2023, and have achieved a GPA of 2.5 or greater during their last academic year.  “The scholarship will be awarded to the best Movie Review submitted by a student before the scholarship deadline.”  See scholarship award limitations on the website.

Jonny’s Wagon Chad Smith “Smalls” Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: May 31, 2023
Award Amount: $1,000

The Jonny’s Wagon Chad Smith “Smalls” Memorial Scholarship is annual scholarship of $1,000.  Applicants must be “entering an accredited college for the upcoming fall semester or be in an undergraduate program in an accredited college.”   In addition to the scholarship application, students will be required to “provide a 250-word (minimum) essay describing your volunteer work in the US which should demonstrate significant volunteer work in support of our homeless and/or near homeless friends and families (with preference given to significant leadership roles).”   See scholarship award limitations on the website.

Odenza Marketing Group Scholarship

Deadline: May 31, 2023
Award Amount: $500

The Odenza Marketing Group Scholarship is available for students between the ages of 16 and 25. Actuarial Diversity Scholarship

Deadline: June 1, 2023
Award Amount: $1,000 – $4,000

The Actuarial Diversity Scholarship promotes “diversity within the profession through an annual scholarship program for Black/African American, Latinx, Native North American and Pacific Islander students. The scholarship award recognizes and encourages the academic achievements of full-time undergraduate students pursuing a degree that may lead to a career in the actuarial profession.”  Applicants must have at least one birth parent who is a member of one of the following minority groups: Black/African American, Latinx, Native North American, or Pacific Islander.  Applicants must be enrolling as or enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at a U.S. accredited educational institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).  See scholarship award limitations on the website.

American Indian Nurse Scholarship Program

Deadline: June 1, 2023
Award Amount: $1,500

The American Indian Nurse Scholarship Award Program (AINS) was started by the NSCDA in 1928 “to give students of American Indian descent the opportunity to pursue careers in nursing. Digital Marketing Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000​

The 10x Digital Marketing Scholarship is available to an undergraduate who is “looking to offset the cost of your business, tech, marketing or communications degree”.  Applicants are required to write a 500-word essay on the following topic: “Digital marketing trends are changing the way we market to consumers. The American Casting and Manufacturing Scholarship

Deadline: July 1, 2023
Award Amount: $500 

The American Casting & Manufacturing Scholarship is a $500-dollar scholarship awarded twice per year, during the Fall and Spring semesters. This scholarship is “open to applicants with any major, awarding those based on writing capabilities and academic achievement.”  Applicants must be a College Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student who is currently enrolled full-time with a GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale.  See scholarship award limitations on the website.

American Indian Services Scholarships

Good Samaritan Foundation Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000

Boomer Benefits Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500

Michael Moddy Fitness Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,500

The Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship is a college scholarship of $1,500 awarded to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation and leadership in school activities and work experience, and interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness related fields. The student may apply and use the money for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. Rehabs.org Scholarship Contest

Deadline: August 1, 2023
Award Amount: $250-$1,000

The purpose of the AECT Legacy Graduate Scholarship is to “improve the teaching/learning process in the library/media center and the classroom and to supplement the recipient’s training by extending the use of educational communications and technology. Veterans United Foundation Scholarship

Award Amount: $3,000

The Veterans United Foundation Scholarship “creates opportunities for family members of service members and Veterans to achieve their educational dreams.”  To qualify for the “scholarship program, applicants must meet one of the following conditions:

The applicant is a veteran with 100% service connected disability

The applicant is a surviving spouse of a deceased servicemember from a service-related death

The applicant is a surviving child of a deceased servicemember from a service-related death”

The Creative Biolabs seeks to “further support their research and higher education in the medical and science-related fields” by offering the Creative Biolabs Scholarship Program.  This scholarship is open to freshman, undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D. students on a global basis. Students With A Heart Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: October 1, 2023
Award Amount: $500 – $6,000

The mission of Students with Heart Foundation is to “provide financial assistance by means of scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students who suffer from all different types of heart disease and deformities, thus relieving some of the stress from the rough and rigorous journey they will face throughout college.”  Applicants must be enrolled or enrolling in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at least part-time, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and submit a personal statement of no more than 2,000 words and no less than 500 words, “describing what obstacles they have had to overcome due to their cardiac disease or deformities.”

Fathers for Scholars (F4S) is designed to “support young fathers who never benefited from the enrichment of a male role model in the home while growing up.”  Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. Fathers with a “desire to be or are already actively engaged in parenting.”  Scholarship awards can be used for enrollment, tuition, or books and supplies.
