Hurst Review AACN Nursing Scholarship

The Hurst Review AACN Nursing Scholarship is open to students maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA in their current program or at the last school attended. Students must be admitted or enrolled in an entry-level baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program at an AACN member institution.

The Healy Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: May 1, 2022
Award Amount: Various

“The Healy Foundation seeks to step in and give under-resourced, high-performing college juniors and seniors the financial means to finish their education at a time when unexpected personal hardship jeopardizes their academic aspirations.”  The scholarship is both financial need-based and merit-based. Rising or current college junior or senior at an accredited four-year university or college who have a minimum 3.0 GPA may apply. Denes & Agota Bardos Award

The Denes and Agota Bardos Award is “given to students in recognition for achievement in their community and in science, engineering, or the arts.”  Applicants must be first or second generation immigrants currently residing in the United States who are students in their final year of high school or students enrolled in a college degree program within the past 6 months.  See award limitations on the website.

Ashtabula County Agricultural Scholarship Fund

Deadline: May 1, 2022

The Ashtabula County Agricultural Scholarship Fund seeks to “promote interest in the study of agriculture, family and consumer science, environmental sciences or natural resources in an accredited full four-year college or an accredited two-year technical institute.”  This fund awards various scholarships to students (both graduate and undergraduate students) attending an accredited four-year college or two year technical school.  See the scholarships award limitations on the website.

Save a Life Scholarship

Deadline: May 1, 2022
Award Amount: $1,500

The Save a Live Scholarship is open to any student currently enrolled in, or applying to enroll within the next academic year, in a degree program in the fields of healthcare or education.  In addition to the application, students must submit an essay between 750 and 1,000 words “explaining your career aspirations, how you plan to advance healthcare and/or education through your work, and what inspired you to commit yourself to this field.”  See scholarship award limitations on the website.

Paula Ford-Martin Memorial Foundation

Deadline: May 1, 2022
Award Amount: $1,000

The Paula Ford-Martin Memorial Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications.  Applicants must live and/or study in the United States, be between the ages of 17 and 23, identify as LGBTQ+ and/or an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.  See scholarship award limitations on the website.

WIFLE Scholarship Program

The WIFLE Scholarship Program is open to full time students studying criminal justice, social sciences, public administration, computer science, finance, linguistic arts, chemistry, and physics. Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity

Deadline: May 3, 2022
Award Amount: Up to $20,000 (over 4 years)

The Milton Fisher Scholarship for Innovation and Creativity is not a “traditional scholarship focused on rewarding academic achievement and financial need.” The goal is to reward and encourage innovative and creative problem solving and “aims to honor students who excel as creative problem-solvers….” Eligible applicants must be a high school junior or senior, entering an undergraduate degree program in the fall or in the first year of an undergraduate degree program.  Applicants must be a Connecticut or New York City metropolitan area resident planning to attend or attending an institution of higher education in the U.S., or a resident of the U.S. planning to attend or attending an institution of higher education in CT or NYC. Easterseals Scholarship

Nurse Corps Scholarship Program

Deadline: May 5, 2022

The Nurse Corps Scholarship Program is open to all nursing students accepted to or enrolled in an accredited diploma, associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree nursing program.  Applicants must be U.S citizens or a lawful permanent resident, “free from any federal judgment liens or existing service commitment, and not overdue on a federal debt.”  Awards can be used to cover full tuition and related fees.  “Acceptance of the award initiates a contract with the federal government to fulfill the service obligation after graduation.”  See scholarship award limitations on the website.

Dairy Management, Inc. Scholarship Program

Deadline: May 6, 2022
Award Amount: $2,500

The National Dairy Promotion and Research Board (NDPRB), through Dairy Management Inc. (DMI), annually awards up to eleven $2,500 scholarships to eligible undergraduate students (sophomore through senior) enrolled in college/university programs that emphasize dairy.  “Majors include: communications/public relations, journalism, marketing, business, economics, nutrition, food science, and Ag education.”  See scholarship award limitations on the website.

Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship

The Traub-Dicker Rainbow Scholarship was “established by Peggy Traub and Phyllis Dicker to encourage and support lesbian women in their pursuit of higher education.”  Eligible applicants include those graduating high school or already enrolled in college in any year of study, including graduate school.

Connecticut Association of Professional Financial Aid Administrators

Award Amount: $1,000

The Connecticut Association of Professional Financial Aid Administrators (CAPFAA) is pleased to announce the CAPFAA Scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year.  Six (6) non-renewable $1,000 scholarships to three (3) eligible undergraduate and three (3) eligible graduate students in pursuit of higher education in the State of Connecticut will be awarded.  See scholarship award limitations on the website.

Jane Delano Nursing Student Scholarship

Couch Oil Cares Scholarship

The Couch Oil Cares Scholarship Program is “an effort to help local students with the costs of higher education. Sharps Compliance, Inc. Scholarship Essay Contest

The Sharps’ essay contest is open to all students who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in an accredited university in healthcare related studies. FMAA Educational Scholarship Program

The Flag Manufacturers Association of America (FMAA) offers this scholarship to help eligible applicants attain their educational goals. AIAS Foundation Scholarships

The AIAS Foundation Scholarship supports aspiring student game makers in undergraduate or graduate level programs who are planning on pursuing a career in development or leadership as well as video game early professionals and recent graduates within their first two years in the industry.  Eligible candidates will be pursuing careers in game development or the business of interactive entertainment.

Girls in Gaming Scholarship

Deadline: May 31, 2022
Award Amount: Various

Applicants to the Girls for Gaming Scholarship must discuss their “impact in helping empower and educate girls and young women on the various roles within the gaming industry with the purpose of driving and normalizing gender diversity within gaming. In addition, applicants must intend to pursue a career or be working as an early professional (within their first two years in the industry) in any aspect of the business of game development including but not limited to: law, public relations/marketing, business management, and human resources.”  Students must be a full-time undergraduate student or a graduate student in any field, must be 21 years or older by February 6th, 2023, have a GPA of 3.3 or higher.  Applicants do not need to be a US citizen or permanent resident to apply.

Jonny’s Wagon Chad Smith “Smalls” Memorial Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000

The Jonny’s Wagon Chad Smith “Smalls” Memorial Scholarship is annual scholarship of $1,000.  Applicants must be “entering an accredited college for the upcoming fall semester or be in an undergraduate program in an accredited college.”   In addition to the scholarship application, students will be required to “provide a 250-word (minimum) essay describing your volunteer work in the US which should demonstrate significant volunteer work in support of our homeless and/or near homeless friends and families (with preference given to significant leadership roles).”   See scholarship award limitations on the website.

WomenIn Scholarships

The WomenIn Scholarships, supported by Intel, “is a collaborative effort to attract, retain and advance women in the interactive entertainment industry by supporting their education and professional development.”  This initiative provides support to female students and early career gaming professionals through its year-long mentoring program, education and scholarships and is available for women students pursuing game development or the business of interactive entertainment.

The Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest “requires students to raise awareness about different legal issues. A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 – $2,000

The A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship is open to students in “Any STEM related degree such as Architecture, Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Physical Science, Technology, Nursing, Engineering, or Natural Resources.”  Students must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited two-year or four-year college/university for the 2022-2023 academic year with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Additionally, applicants must be: “an enrolled citizen or a descendant of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village; or Native Hawaiian or descendant from a Native Hawaiian; or Pacific Islander or descendant from Pacific Islander; or Indigenous person of Canada. Enrollment documents and/or a copy of birth certificate(s) showing descendancy from an enrolled citizen, Indigenous group of Canada, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander are acceptable. PRCUA Education Scholarship Program

Deadline: June 1, 2022
Award Amount: $500-$2,000

The PRCUA Education Scholarship Program provides “financial assistance to students to earn undergraduate, graduate or professional degrees.”  Applicants must have successfully completed their freshman year of undergraduate studies before the deadline for filing an application. Eligible applicants consist of sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled full-time in undergraduate study or those students enrolled in graduate or professional degree program. “Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale or 4.0 or better on a 5.0 scale.”  Applicants must be either citizens of the United States or permanent residents.  Students are not required to be members of the PRCUA.

Steve Van Dyke Memorial Scholarship

The United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association (USDSA) is pleased to offer a “memorial post-secondary education scholarship program for dependent children of current, full-time commissioned law enforcement officers.”  Applicants must be the dependent son or daughter of a current, full-time commissioned law enforcement officer in the United States, and be enrolled in a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester.

The Jacob Smaus SuperHero Scholarship

The Jacob Smaus SuperHero Scholarship is awarded to a college student who “actively donates their time or resources to help those in need.”  Applicants may be involved in community service on a volunteer-basis, non-profit organizational support, or “simply demonstrate acts of selflessness on a regular basis.”  Nebraska residents enrolled in a college located in the United States, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 are eligible to apply.

The Iranian-American Scholarship

The Iranian-American Scholarship Fund provides assistance to students of Iranian heritage “demonstrating academic excellence, financial need, and a commitment to community service.”  Applicants must have verifiable Iranian heritage, be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents, enrolled as a full-time undergraduate (excluding freshmen) or graduate student (excluding PhDs), have a minimum GPA of 3.5, and demonstrate financial need and a commitment to community service.

Out To Innovate Scholarships

Deadline: June 4, 2022

The Out To Innovate Scholarships for LGBTQ STEM is “intended for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) programs who are either lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or an active ally of the LGBTQ community.”   One scholarship will go to an undergraduate student, and one will go to a graduate/professional level student. Applicants must have “successfully completed a minimum of two years of post-high school education, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, a declared major in an accredited STEM or STEM-related teaching field, and be an active supporter of and participant in programs or organizations that promote LGBTQ inclusion and visibility.”

Helen Gee Chin Scholarship

The Helen Gee Chin Scholarship is open to students who “plan to enroll full-time as an undergraduate at an accredited U.S. four-year college or university and meet the minimum eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, five or more years of study in Chinese Martial Arts (Kung Fu, Wu Shu, or Tai Chi), and a “B” average grade or better. SMA STEM Scholarship

IJA Strategies Women in Technology Scholarship

The IJA Strategies Women in Technology Scholarship is available to current or incoming undergraduate college students majoring in or planning to major in a technical field.  Applicants must identify as a woman and have not been an IJA scholarship recipient in the past.  As a “woman-owned business and ‘self-proclaimed die-hard women in tech advocates,’ IJA Strategies Women in Technology scholarship program was created to celebrate those who are pursuing education and careers in technology.”
