Post University Mission
Our mission is to provide students with the knowledge, personal skills and experiences required to become leaders in their chosen careers. We prepare students to become confident, competent and competitive participants in the global marketplace.
Post University offers 25 undergraduate and 6 graduate degree programs, as well as a host of certificate programs, concentrations and minors.
In addition to offering undergraduate degree programs on its traditional campus in Waterbury, Connecticut, Post University offer undergraduate and graduate Accelerated Degree Programs through Post University Online. Accelerated degree program courses are offered in eight-week modules, six times a year.
Post University added its first master’s degree program in 2006. The Master of Science in Counseling and Human Services degree is offered completely online, and during evenings and weekends at regional locations in Connecticut.
In 2007, Post University was the first university in Connecticut to offer a completely online MBA degree program The program was among the recipients of a prestigious 2009 Silver and 2013 Gold Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Innovation Prize, and is currently the second-largest MBA program in Connecticut. The program includes concentrations in Corporate Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Leadership, Marketing, Multi-Disciplinary and Project Management.
Post University added a Master of Education in 2009, which includes concentrations in Teaching & Learning, Instructional Design & Technology, Higher Education Administration, Online Teaching and TESOL.
In 2011, the University added an online Master of Public Administration degree program that includes a unique blend of master-level business and public administration courses.
In 2013, Post added a new Master of Science in Accounting program.

The University’s Main Campus is located in Waterbury, Connecticut, and is home to approximately 800 undergraduate students.
Post University also has regional location in Wallingford.
Post University’s full- and part-time students come from the United States and abroad. In addition to the approximately 800 students enrolled on the University’s traditional campus in Waterbury, Connecticut, approximately 8,000 students at a time are taking online courses in any given 8-week module.
Post University is accredited by New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), Inc. through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. Post University also is licensed and accredited by the Connecticut Office of Higher Education.
Various programs in the Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University are programmatically accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). To learn more go to our accreditation section.
The Post University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. Post University offers 20 competitive NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s athletic program.
The University is also a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Competition within the CACC and the ECAC occurs within New England Mid-Atlantic states.
In 2009, Post University was the first New England University to be admitted to the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL). The Post Eagles compete against Army, Navy, Princeton, Penn, Cornell, Franklin Pierce, Chestnut Hill and Mansfield University. Post will also compete against Caldwell University, beginning in 2017.
Post University also has a Cheerleading Team. Additionally, Main Campus students are welcome to join the Equestrian teams by participating in Hunt Seat, Western and Dressage.

Post University’s Military Program provides support to Active Duty, Veterans and Military Dependents who have the option of taking classes completely online regardless of where they’re stationed, on our Waterbury campus or at one of the University’s regional locations in Connecticut.
Post University is a member of Service members Opportunity College (SOC), the American Council on Education (ACE), a signatory to the Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding, fully endorses Executive Order 13607– “Establishing Principles of Excellence” and proudly supports the Yellow Ribbon provisions of the Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill program of the Department of Veterans Affairs.Recruiting Orientation Unit (NORU) to provide higher education opportunities to Soldiers and Sailors while they serve.
