As a student in our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree program, you can gain knowledge in the basic business disciplines of accounting, economics, management, finance, marketing and business law and develop essential communication skills emphasized through writing and presentation requirements in all courses. Career-focused coursework explores decision-making processes, navigates ethical issues in business, and examines the details of business operations

From teamwork and problem solving to business policy, you’ll gain a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to navigate organizational success. You’ll learn to successfully connect current practices and methods of business rooted in sound classroom theory to field application. Guided by the modern business landscape, you’ll gain a current perspective on areas such as global business, ethics in business and decision making—particularly as it relates to times of uncertainty. A capstone course will allow you to apply what you’ve learned in your coursework to real-world business scenarios, as well as pursue an internship experience in settings from local banks to multinational corporations.  


What Can You Do with a BS in Business Administration 

With a strong foundation in areas of real-world impact such as accounting, management, and finance, students can take on roles from business owner to sales account manager across private and government sectors. Graduates can also pursue a Master of Business Administration degree to enhance a current job skillset or target new career opportunities.

Business Administration Concentrations

Take a deep dive into areas of real-world impact such as financial planning, organizational management and business entrepreneurship. Whether you want to specialize in sports management or build a general business management foundation, our business administration concentrations let you focus on relevant skills and knowledge 

General Business Administration
This concentration allows you to further expand your business knowledge with relevant upper-level electives.
Gain valuable financial planning skills applicable to any business setting. In this concentration, you will learn the foundational concepts and principles of accounting, as well as the basic framework for recording and reporting transactions.
Computer Information Systems
Learn to maintain and secure businesses’ networks and software. Coursework gives equal focus to technology, computer science and business, and how they integrate with each other.
This concentration provides an introduction to the basic business skills needed to start up, establish and successfully grow new entrepreneurial ventures.

This concentration helps students prepare for success in the world of finance – from financial services and analyst positions to careers in corporate finance, insurance and banking. Coursework is specifically designed to prepare students to sit for and take Series 6 and Series 7 FINRA exams. 

International Business Administration
This concentration allows you to further expand your international business knowledge with relevant upper-level electives.
This concentration provides you with an introduction to the foundational concepts and principles of marketing. You will gain a basic understanding of real-world applications of general marketing, selling skills and retail merchandising/management
Sport Management
Turn your passion for sport into a career. In this concentration, you will build a foundational knowledge of sports management and marketing and choose from electives in athletic administration, events and facility management, and more.
MBA Track

This concentration provides students an opportunity to take advanced MBA courses at the undergraduate level. This can provide students a pathway to their graduate studies by getting a head start as well as add significant value to graduates as they enter the marketplace.
