As a student in our management degree program, you will learn about the hierarchy of organizations, how to integrate the people and systems of organizations, and how to leverage creativity and innovation to improve organizational effectiveness, now and in the future. You will work in diverse groups on projects that address problems of organizational design, development, and change at various levels in organizations as you explore subjects such as:

Bachelor of Science in Management

This program is offered on Main Campus, online, evenings, and weekends.
Students in the Bachelor of Science in Management degree program study modern management theories and practices and managerial techniques currently used in the industry. A special focus is placed on the future of management and is integrated into the curriculum, helping students understand the need for creativity and innovation in the current and future organization. Through interdisciplinary coursework, students will explore subjects such as diversity, ethical behavior, globalization, strategic business planning, and leadership. A program-wide emphasis is placed on the importance of communication and teamwork. Students will work together in diverse groups on projects that address problems of organizational design, development and change at various levels in hypothetical organizations. Graduates could pursue entry-level management positions in the fields of operations management, retail, social and community service, supply chain management, sales, product development, administrative services, human resources and more. This degree program is programmatically accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
- Human Resource Management – Students will demonstrate an effective working knowledge of contemporary human resource issues including talent management, employment law, human resource strategy, recruit training, compensation benefits, organizational development, and human resource information systems.
- Organizational Behavior – Students will evaluate individual and group behavior in organizations and the interpretation of this behavior in the context of the managerial environment. Students will assess the nature of such concepts as influence, power and control, attitudes, communication, conflict, and interpersonal relations as a means of understanding the dynamics of individual and group behavior.
- Team Processes and Development – Students will evaluate the ability to build and work in teams, including team development, norms, cohesion and trust.
- Business Ethics – Students will examine and apply ethical and professional behaviors and standards to contemporary business situations.
- Communication – Students will communicate professionally using written and/or oral skills essential to success in the business environment.
- Fundamental Business Concepts- Students will demonstrate the ability to apply the fundamental concepts of Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, and Economics in a business environment.

Gain valuable financial planning skills applicable to any business setting. In this concentration, you will learn the foundational concepts and principles of accounting, as well as the basic framework for recording and reporting transactions.
Computer Information Systems
In this concentration, you will be exposed to networking in business and learn about the relationship between information systems and technology.
Courses in the Construction Management concentration will give you a fundamental understanding of both the business and technical sides of construction. You’ll also review the critical thought process required to estimate the labor, equipment and methods required for a construction job.
This concentration prepares you to start, grow and manage a thriving business in ever-changing competitive markets.
This concentration helps students prepare for success in the world of finance – from financial services and analyst positions to careers in insurance and banking. Coursework is specifically designed to prepare students to sit for and take Series 6 and Series 7 FINRA exams.
Human Resource Management
In this concentration, you will explore the standards of performance expected of managers and employees and focus on leveraging diversity, employee compensation and benefits, human resource systems, and labor and employment law.
In this concentration, you will be introduced to the challenges associated with managing marketing operations in international companies and concepts and ideas for solving them. Your courses will cover logistics management, international economics, multi-cultural consumers and more.
This concentration provides you with an introduction to the foundational concepts and principles of marketing. You will gain a basic understanding of real-world applications of general marketing, selling skills and retail merchandising/management.
From schedules to finances and even the ability to effectively work with different personalities on a daily basis, project management requires multiple skill-sets that ensure any project, regardless of size, is executed efficiently. This concentration helps you identify the tools needed for various projects and how to implement them.
You will gain an understanding of the business of sports with courses in basic sport management principles, athletic administration, and events and facility management.
Supply Chain & Logistics
The coursework for your Supply Chain & Logistics Management concentration provides a thorough overview of how distribution systems evolve to meet the needs of today’s economy. You’ll also cover inventory fundamentals from a variety of viewpoints: financial, physical, forecasting and operations.
